Following a successful career as a journalist and photographer, John emigrated to public relations and communications.

With previous roles in the local government and social service sectors, he brought a wealth of skills to Priority Communications when he joined us in 2018. John works with some of our key national clients, and his warmth and good humour, along with his considerable writing and communication skills make him a much-appreciated member of our team.

John has a New Zealand Diploma in Journalism and National Certificate in Media Communication. His work has won multiple awards in resource development, and he received Special Mention in the Sally Logan-Milne Young Practitioner of the Year category of the 2020 PRINZ Awards.

Despite being a child of the 90s, John possesses a formidable knowledge of 80s pop music and, when he’s not at work, he enjoys hunting for new additions to his library-esque collection of vinyl records and rustling up Instagram-worthy creations in the kitchen.
